5 Conscious Platforms to Shop For a Last Minute Wedding Guest Outfit
Vic Binns
We’ve all been there – under pressure scrambling to find a wedding guest outfit because we kept putting it off. That feeling of absolute dread when the date is quickly approaching and the time to order online is running out. But where can you count on to shop that’s both sustainable and fits the criteria for suitable wedding guest attire in quick succession? If you’re based in London, you’re in luck – these are my picks the best IRL places to shop when you’re running out of time to nail your wedding guest look.
Loanhood x Wildswans
A collaboration of dreams, Islington based boutique, Wildswans, has joined forces with rental platform Loanhood to launch their own in store rental capsule. Yes, that means you can walk straight into the store, try on a dress and rent it there and then. Easy peasy. With pieces to rent from brands like Essentiel Antwerp and Ganni you’re bound to fall in love.
Stella Nova – Printed Maxi Wrap Dress – Rent From £67.50
Stine Goya – Anny Dress – Rent From £51.00
Samsoe Samsoe – Cille Dress – Rent From £22.50
Ganni – 3D Jacquard Ruffle Midi Dress – Rent From £66.75
Lone Design Club
Lone Design Club is my top recommendation to find unique pieces from a curated selection of independent designers. With both an online store and pop-up’s across the capital (and sometimes outside of London too!) you can find a wedding guest outfit that fits your personal style whilst supporting ethical & independent brands – it’s a big tick from me.
This month you can find Lone Design Club in Canary Wharf & Westfield London
Bastet Noir – The Candy Dress – £194.00
Mirla Beane – Pink/ Green Checkerboard Shirt Dress – £97.50 (sale)
HURR x Selfridges
HURR’s boutique within Selfridges is a must visit if you’re on the hunt for any occasion piece. With a repertoire of cult designers and need to know brands, they have a gorgeous selection of pieces to try on in store and rent.
AJE – Rent Laurier Wave Maxi Dress – Rent From £70.31
REFORMATION – Rent Breslin metallic stretch-woven midi dress – Rent From £37.49
SHONA JOY – Rent La Lune asymmetric one-shoulder – Rent From £51.95

Wolf & Badger
If Wolf & Badger isn’t already on your radar, then you absolutely need to change that. B-corp certified, Wolf & Badger prides itself on curating pieces from independent designers and brands that are ethically and sustainably produced, making their Soho store the perfect place to find a wedding guest outfit.
AMY LYNN – Alexa Cherry Red Puffball Dress – £109
Rites
If you’re looking for the perfect wedding guest dress, Rites London will have you covered. Available both online or in their East London based store, they have a plethora of dresses to rent from our favourite contemporary designers – Stine Goya, Realisation Par & Reformation to name a few. With their boutique dedicated to rental, you can opt to order your chosen dresses to their store or pop in whenever suits you to see their in-person curation.
Proenza Schouler – Halterneck Backless Gown – Rent From £85
Tove – Lauryn Dress Buttermilk – Rent From £69
Rat & Boa – Luciana Dress – Rent From £55
Realisation – Gia Animal Print Maxi Dress – Rent From £55
Not based in London? All of these stores offer delivery within the UK, just factor in a little extra time for pieces to arrive checking the delivery times individually for each store.
