There have been a number of trends we have been keeping our eyes on recently, but summer 24’ has been all about one phrase. We have been obsessed with #bratsummer and now while it definitely doesn’t mean being a brat or wearing acid green – we can’t help but be drawn to this trending colour of the summer.
But if you are a little out of the loop trend wise, what does “Brat” mean? Not to be confused with noughties Bratz dolls, this trend sits somewhere in between glam, grunge and grime.
The trend lends its name to Charli XCX’s album entitled “Brat” released earlier this summer. The brat girl is honest, blunt, and a little bit volatile. The trend leans towards the quiet luxury aesthetic from earlier on in the year and is about being a little unhinged and chaotic but totally chic…
Now for the colour we cannot seem to escape. “Brat Green”has been seen everywhere from nail trends to Presidential Candidate Kamala Harris’ campaign, you cannot seem to escape this bold and vibrant shade. Go acid green, or a lighter more citrusy chartreuse, but whatever you do, make sure it’s brat!
