I’m a Local With a Passion for Second-Hand—These Are the Best Luxury Vintage Shops in Brighton
I’ve explored the best premium vintage Brighton has to offer, and these are the hotspots I always return to.
Nothing beats the thrill of a vintage or second-hand designer find, even better if it’s a bargain. Brighton is no stranger to pre-owned goods, and strolling towards the sea, through the city’s many winding streets, you’ll be greeted with vintage stores aplenty. Whether you’re travelling from afar for a day of thrifting in the Lanes, or seeking a selection of second-hand luxury pieces (for a quarter of the RRP), Brighton has something for every treasure hunter to enjoy. Read on to discover the best vintage shops in Brighton, and my favourite haunts to uncover pre-owned gems.
Rebound
Nestled away under Brighton’s beachfront arches, you might at first glance miss Rebound—a luxury consignment store offering a wealth of second-hand clothing, shoes and accessories, both vintage and contemporary alike. A quick stroll around the store and you’ll find everything from Tom Ford era Gucci, to contemporary brands, often new-with-label. I found this Good American blazer last summer and have barely taken it off since. Not a local? Rebound also has an online shop to explore.
Visit: 97-99, Kings Road Arches, Kings Rd, Brighton and Hove, Brighton BN1 2FN
Good as Gold
Walking through the endless independent treasure trove of the North Laine, you’ll soon come across Good as Gold. It’s small yet mighty, packed to the rafters with second-hand and deadstock streetwear pieces that possess an effortless Y2K aura, alongside a selection of unique Dr Martens. The shop has attracted a loyal community, including celebrity clientele.
Visit: 95 Trafalgar St, Brighton and Hove, Brighton BN1 4ER
Wolf & Gypsy Vintage
Wolf & Gypsy vintage garnered a reputation among locals as the true “luxury” second-hand store in Brighton. Let’s be honest—vintage shopping can sometimes come with a certain… aroma. So stepping into Wolf & Gypsy always felt like a breath of fresh air—figuratively and literally. While the business sadly closed its physical store last year, you can still shop with them online, and they hope to be showing up with a storefront again soon. Explore a range of minimalist designer vintage, alongside a curated selection of accessories.

Curate & Rotate
If you’re a Brighton-based minimalist dresser, you’ll want to get to know Curate and Rotate. A resale destination that offers everything from upcycled vintage to contemporary brands and even in-house creations, founder Melanie regularly opens her Lancing studio for IRL shopping days and hosts pop-ups in and around Brighton. I purchased a Lauren Magooniagan bag from Curate & Rotate a few years back, and it’s become a go-to summer bag ever since.

Vine Street Vintage
If your love for vintage extends beyond fashion, you’re in luck, because Vine Street Vintage has everything the second-hand luxury shopper could wish for. Offering an eccentric range of pre-owned furnishings and collectables that span across decades, a quick sift through this store and you’re likely to come across a selection of statement artwork, mirrors, side tables, and maybe a Michel Ducaroy chair, or two.
Visit: 88 Gloucester Rd, Brighton and Hove, Brighton BN1 4AP
Preloved of Brighton
Located just a little outside of Brighton’s city centre in Fiveways, a short walk from London Road Station, is Preloved of Brighton. This consignment store offers a selection of clothing and accessories across a range of price points, with both high street and designer second-hand pieces up for grabs. Discover the likes of GANNI, Toast, COS and Raey and more—truly something for everyone.
Visit: 267A Preston Drove, Brighton and Hove, Brighton BN1 6FL
